The President of Nigeria Teqball Federation has promised that the achievement of Teqball team in Hammamet will fast track the recognition application with the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The president of Nigeria Teqball Federation Engr. Habu Gumel made this statement while addressing the athletes in Tunisia.
Engr. Gumel said that there is no better time to push the sports further than now as it is growing rapidly in Nigeria.
He noted that success must be build on the achievement they recorded in Hammamet, in other to promote and developed the sport in all the states in Nigeria.
The President affirmed that the Hammamet achievement will fast track NIGTEQ recognition application with the federal government, as they are happy with the federation being the first to secure gold and silver medals for the country in Tunisia and promised that it will be finalized once he gets to Nigeria.
He however charged other states to challenge Kwara State in the development of athelets and championship organisation, adding that there be courses for coaches and referees also.
Engr Habu Gumel praised and congratulated all the hardworking state chairmen and dedicated the victory in Tunisia to them.
” Congratulations to all our hardworking state chairmen, we dedicated our victory in Tunisia to you all, please let’s do more now, we are in the spotlights” Gumel said.
The state chairmen in their words, appreciated the President for his unwavering supports, adding that he is a legend in sports administration as they just privilege to have him.
” Please let us appreciate our president, he is a legend in sports administration. We are just privilege to have him” They said.
It could be recalled that Nigeria Teqball Team won gold medals in mixed doubles, silver medals in men’s singles and men’s doubles at the 2023, 2nd Africa Beach Games held in Hammamet, Tunisia.
