Nigeria Female Basketball Team, D’Tigress see off Egypt in their second group match to finish top of group D at the ongoing FIBA Women’s AfroBasket in Kigali, Rwanda.
The defending champions beat their North Africa opponent 83-65 on Sunday afternoon.
D’Tigress under their new head coach Rena Wakama run riot with 10-18, 13-24, 19-24 and 23-27 in the first, second, third and fourth quarter respectively.
The match was exciting as the Egyptian took the game to D’Tigress in the third and fourth quarter but the defending champions did not let it slip.
Nigeria have now made it two wins in two to book qualification to the quarter-finals at the Women’s FIBA AfroBasket championship in Kigali, Rwanda.
