Following the backlash among sports stakeholders in Kwara on Tuesday, August 8 due to the revelation of how the Executive Chairman of Kwara Sports Commission ordered immediate closure of the entrance gates to deny workers working on the stadium movement within the stadium premises, stakeholders have sent message of hope to the Kwara United management ahead of the start of the new NPFL campaign.
The Stakeholders in the powerful message sent to the Executive Chairman of Kwara United asked him to remain focused and be ready to serve Kwarans again.
It was reported that the commission Chairman while speaking with Journalist over the matter, said he’s not fighting Kumbi Titiloye, stating that he is like a brother, so therefore, he will allow him access the stadium fertility.
However, Sports enthusiastic berate the act, urging Mr Kumbi Titiloye to be very careful and never allow that to freak him.
Kumbi who a is currently overseeing the renovation at the stadium to ensure the stadium is ready for the August 26-27 kick-of NPFL 2023/2024 season could not join his boys in Ikenne, Ogun State at the ongoing ValueJet Pre-Season Tournament.
Kwara United lost 4-2 on penalties to Beyond Limits, after an entertaining 2-2 draw in regular time.
The Executive Chairman is trying his efforts to ensure the work is done at the stadium for any assessment by NPFL.
NPFL had earlier announced Kwara State Stadium, as Ilorin league center, for the benefitiary of the League Live Streaming Sponsored by the league organizers.
The NPL Representative & Propel Sports Africa (PSA) crew will be in Ilorin on the 11th of August 2023 to test-run their equipment ahead of the season.
Advising the Kwara United chairman, A respondent said, we have seen all they can do, they led us into shambles, they handled Tennis court, the court is sub-standard, they handled Squash court, the court looks like a poultry, and the whole stadium looks like a farmland.
“We urge Mr Kumbi to give Kwarans results again, take us to continental, let’s have the experience of a good football, Kwarans will be grateful.”
