The Ekiti State Volleyball Team is performing extraordinary well as they have remained unbeatable at the ongoing 2024 National Youth Games in Asaba Delta State.
They Started the match with a 2-0 victory against their Abia State counterparts, after which they played against Akwa Ibom and also Defeated them 1-0.
The spikers yesterday played against the host of the 2024 National Youth Games (Delta) and Defeated them hands down with a 2-0 victory.
Coach Olusoji Farotimi, the head coach of the spikers expressed his happiness and gratitude to God for how far he has brought them in the competition, he also commended the full support of his Asst Coach Adeoye Adebowale.
According to Farotimi, he is optimistic that the great Spikers will make it to the finals and make the state proud. He appreciates the boys for the good work and unweavering efforts urging them to keep it up as the sky is their starting point.
Isreal Jesuferanmi a strong bone in the group during an interview showered enconium on his team mates saying their victory is as a result of unity and promised that they will stay focused and committed against all odds till they win the competition.
‘His words I am greatful to God Almighty who has been our shield, our wonderful coaches, and my amazing team mates. We have been able to achieve this feat so far because of the unity among us and we promise to remain committed till the end until we attain victory’.
The Spikers has already qualified for the semi finals and will play against their Bayelsa counterpart today at the ongoing National Youth Games.
