Enyimba Defender Uwana Asuquo Confidents Ahead Of Sunshine Stars Clash In Akure

Mercurial Right-Back Uwana Asuquo says his confident ahead of the NPFL match day 31 fixtures between Sunshine Stars and Enyimba Int’l.

The encounter is slated for Sunday April 21 at Akure Township Stadium by 4pm.

Asuquo played full 90 minutes as he helped his team to secure a 1-0 victory at home to Heartland in an Oriental derby which saw the two-time CAF Champions League winner moved up to second place on the log with 51 points, three points adrift of Enugu Rangers in pole position.

He won Infinix player of the month award in March for his exploits for the team, noting that he’s ready for the encounter against the Owene Waves.

Enyimba were 1-0 winners in the corresponding tie, a match-day 11 fixture at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, where Chijioke Mbaoma’s late first half goal handed them 3 points.

A win for Enyimba will see them level up on points with Rangers should the Flying Antelopes falter in their arduous trip to Rivers United on Sunday.
