FC Robo Queens defender, Shukurat Oladipo has been called-up to the senior national team women’s squad (Super Falcons) for the Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier double header against South Africa.
The FC Robo Queens defender showed a stand-out performance for Nigeria U-20 Women’s side (Falconets) in Women football events at the just concluded 13th African Games in Ghana where Falconets lost to Black Princesses of Ghana 2-1 in extra time.
She has been an intriguing part of the female U-20 national side where she gave sumptuous performance against Tanzania for the U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier last November.
Her performance for Christopher Danjuma led side earned her a place in the Super Falcons squad to face Bayana Bayana of South Africa.
Shukurat Oladipo is a very strong, hard working player, known for agility, awareness and strength at the back line.
Her outstanding strength, confidence, versatility, energetic and with exceptional leadership quality at the back line, always gives her an edge over other players in the team.
She also known for being sharp and capable of stopping an attack by marshalling, commanding, and defending any scoring opportunities from the opponents.
Shukurat Oladipo is a well known name at FC Robo Queens and for the followership of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL)
Other NWFL products that made the cut in the squad is Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper Linda Jiwuaku.
The Super Falcons are at home for the first leg scheduled for Friday, 5th April at the Moshood Abiola Stadium MKO Abuja, before flying to Pretoria for the return leg at the Loftus Versfield Stadium on Tuesday 9th April.
The winner over two legs, will earn one of the Africa’s two tickets to this year’s Women’s Olympic football tournament with Zambia and Morocco to clash for the other ticket on the same date.
