The Nigeria Female U16 Basketball team has qualified to represent FIBA Africa Zone 3 at the FIBA U16 World Cup qualifiers scheduled to hold next month in Tunisia.
The Baby Tigress blew away host Ghana twice, winning the first tie 73 -24, and the second game 65-17, to pick the sole ticket to represent Zone 3 at the qualifying tournament in Tunisia.
According to fans and enthusiasts who watched the Baby Tigress decimate Ghana in the games held in Accra, the team tutored by Coach Sotuminu Samson is good enough to do well in Tunisia and pick a world cup ticket.
Their displays further give hope for a better future for the game in Nigeria, as they showed determination, power, strength, and skills, which are the characteristics of the average Nigerian team.
