England midfielder Declan Rice has finally joined Arsenal from West Ham United on a club record fee of £100m plus £5 million add-ons, singing 5-year contract with another one year option.
He is the most expensive British player breaking Jack Grealish’s record of £100m Manchester City paid for him from Aston Villa.
Rice is also the most expensive Arsenal signing after Nicolas Pepe £72millions joined the club from Lille in 2019.

1. Declan Rice declared it publicly that he wanted Arsenal above other clubs in England as he wants to remain in London due to family reasons.
” In football amazing opportunities arise. Big club like Arsenal have come for me and it’s really hard to turn down” Rice said.
2. Mikel Arteta believed Rice is one the players that will contribute immensely to his project at Arsenal and Rice also believes in the projects by saying yes.
“You only ever get one career and I really believe in what Mikel is building here and the squad he’s building. I’m looking forward to the future with Arsenal” Rice said.

3. Another reasons Rice will thrive at Arsenal, is his ball recoveries and interceptions. Arsenal have so many mistakes around their midfield and he will mop and marshall it.
