Having Coaches With High Pedigree Will Raise The Standard Of NPFL, NNL – Aliyu Zubairu

Having coaches with high pedigree coming into Nigerian league NPFL and NNL will raise the standard of the leagues.

Coach Aliyu Zubairu made the submission during an interview on a Whatsapp platform “Sports Connect” on Thursday 15th August, 2024.

Coach Zubairu, said that it is a welcome development seeing coaches with high pedigree coming into the league.

He said ” I think that is a great thing to see coaches with high pedigree coming into Nigerian league and Siasia to Mighty Jet, and NNL as well, this is going to raise the standard of the league he added.

He noted that, job of the coaches will not be business as usual by having such coaches, stressing that this will aid some coaches to wake up from their slumber and live up to expectations.

He also emphasized that, coaches must parade a good team for them to be able to compete with those who have had a lot of experience from coaching abroad which are now ready to come to Nigeria.

“So you must parade a good team for you to be a able to compete with those that are coming from Ex-International and that have a lot of experience from coaching abroad and now willing to coming back to Nigeria”

Coach Aliyu Zubairu however, submitted that it’s a welcome development having the likes of Finidi George with Rivers United, Emmanuel Amunike with Heartland and Samson Siasia with Mighty Jet if he eventually sign for them, coming to Nigerian leagues.
