The Yoruba Sports Presenters, Kwara State Chapter has felicitates with Mallam Ibrahim Musa Idris on his re-election as Chairman of Kwara FA.
This was contained in statement by the coordinator of the association Mr Olaitan Ajao and signed by the association secretary Mr Michael Odetunde.
Olaitan Ajao described the victory of Mallam Ibrahim Musa Idris who also known as Thuraya as a victory for all.
The election that was held on Tuesday June 13 at Pisio Hotel Central Kaiama, in Kaiama Local Government Area Kwara State, Mallam Ibrahim Musa Idris defeated Engr Abdullateef Ahmed Olajide with 19 votes to four to win the 2023 Kwara State Football elections.
YOSPAN Coordinator further stated that the re-election of Thuraya as Chairman FA should be about putting the needs and aspiration of prospect footballers in the state as paramount via developing grassroots football through grassroots competition.
He further stressed that the Chairman must act on his campaign promises and must not left no stone unturned by developing the game at the grassroots all around the state.
Olaitan Ajao commended the opposition for taking the results of the election as it were and praised him for showing the spirit of sportsmanship aftermath of the election results.
He charged the FA Chairman to work hands in hands with the football stakeholders in the state and to embrace unity, togetherness irrespective of the outcome of the election.
Bashorun Kayode Bankole was elected unopposed as the vice Chairman, returning to that position for the second term period.
Other Board members who were emerged unopposed in the election , are Hajia Segilola Alaya, Tunde Sanni, Abubakar Ahmed, Adeshina Bello, Wasiu Lawal, Salaudeen Jimoh and Manzuma Maliki.
