Kwara SWAN congratulates Attahiru Ibrahim on 48th birthday -

Kwara State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN has joined millions of others in congratulating the Samori of Patigi, Mallam Ibrahim Attahiru on his 48th birthday.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary Kwara SWAN, Ayodeji Ismail and Dare Kuti lauded the former Special Adviser on Sports to Kwara State Governor for his efforts and zeal in spearheading the welfare of athletes.

The statement read, “On behalf of the leadership and the entire members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara state Chapter we wish to join millions of friends, families and well-wishers to congratulate the Samori of Patigi, Mallam Ibrahim Attahiru on the occasion of your birthday.

“Sir, as you have added another year today, it is our prayers that Almighty Allah will continue to protect and guide you throughout your stay on earth.

“History will always remember your contributions towards sport development in the state as well as instant reward to medallists at various sporting championships during your reign as SA on Sports” the statement said.

The statement said, “Your contributions to volleyball in Kwara State and Nigeria cannot be overemphasized. Kwara SWAN is aware of the scan you paid for during the 2021 Prudent Energy Handball League for a player of Kwara Adorable Angels, subsidy given to the Para Athletes during the first edition of the 2022 National Para Games as well as your selfless efforts in encouraging Team Kwara during the 2020 National Sports Festival in Edo state”.
