Following an extensive training tour that encompassed participation in the Valuejet and Douye Diri Pre-Season tournaments in Ikenne and Yenagoa, Ogun and Bayelsa states respectively, Kwara United Football Club has returned to Ilorin to continue its preparations for the upcoming NPFL season.
The coaching staff is of the opinion that the tours have significantly contributed to shaping the team for the challenges ahead.
The matches played provided an opportunity for new players to exhibit their potential and skills, as acknowledged by the club management.
Addressing this, the club’s General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, mentioned that the management has duly noted the feedback and recommendations from the fans, emphasizing that the two Preseason tournaments have been instrumental in identifying areas for strength and improvement.
“Over the past month, we have engaged in a thorough assessment of our team, and there have been positive developments in the recent test matches,”he elaborated.
While appreciating Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Kwara sports commission, teeming fans and critical stakeholders for their unwavering support, he acknowledged that the management believe in the ability of the club’s technical crew to deliver on the mandate given to them.
We encourage our supporters to maintain their steadfast backing for our club; preseason serves as a platform to finalize our preparations before the League commences,” he said.
