Kwara United traveled to Gombe in a must win encounter to trade a tackles with Gombe United who are languishing in the bottom of the apex league.
The encounter will be held at Pantami Stadium, Gombe on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
The Harmony Boys is currently on 16th position on the NPFL log, with 33 points after playing 28 matches.
The position is slightly above Rivers United at 17th position who have six outstanding matches to play.
Also Kwara United chairman, Mr Kumbi Titiloye spoke confidently that all hope is not lost for the team.
Kwara United is yet to win on the road having drawn six away matches in the League.
On the other hand, their opponents, Gombe United have lost two at home and haven’t won in their last 5 matches in the NPFL.
The first leg ended in a drab stalemate at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
With the team having a daunting task ahead of the encounter and in remaining fixtures, a victory at Gombe should be ringing in the minds of the players and technical staff of the team.
Last Monday in Ilorin, stakeholders gathered to discuss how to keep Kwara United in the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL.
