Enyimba striker Chukwuemeka Obioma and Daniel Ogunmodede the head coach of Remo Stars have both won player and coach of the season for 2022/23 NPFL season.
Obioma was announced as the best player at the League Bloggers award ceremony held at the Oriental hotel in Lagos on Tuesday, (today)
The striker helped his team to emerged the champions of NPFL 2022/23 season after scoring 14 goals and other two in super 6 championship play-off.
He was undoubtedly the top striker last season and was rewarded for the highest goal scoring forward in the NPFL 2022/23 season.
In the same vein, Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede won coach of the season ahead of George Finidi at the ceremony.
Ogunmodede of Remo Stars with attacking brand of football came second behind Enyimba in the super 6 championship play-off and qualified Ikenne based side for the Inter-club cup competitions CAF Champions League for the first time in the history of the club.
Kayode Bankole and Nduka Juniors both from Remo Stars emerged as the best goalkeeper and defender of the season respectively for their outstanding performances.
Joseph Atule of Lobi Stars was announced as the best midfielder of the season for his stellar performance for the Makurdi side.
Young player of the season was given to Umar Bala of Plateau United, while Albert Korvah of Rivers United from Liberia won the best foreign player of the season.
The NPFL Rookie of the season award, the award for the best performing player in their first season, won by Robert Mizo for his performances with Bayelsa United.
Sterling bank emerged winners of the NPFL 23 brand sponsorship of team for their level of investment in Bendel Insurance.
Edo State won the NPFL best government sponsorship.
