NYG Asaba 2024: Obajolowo Moboluware, Haliya Suleiman Win Silver and Bronze For Team Kwara In Swimming And Karate. 

Team Kwara continue her impressive performance winning a silver and bronze medal in day 5 in the ongoing 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The two medals were won in the Swimming and Karate on Friday.

Obajolowo Moboluware gave sumptuous performance showing his aquatic skills to claim a silver medal in the 100m Butterfly boys in the swimming event.

Obajolowo showed more resilience, energy, power and determination as his teammates, fans and spectators geared to finish the heat in the second position getting an applaud for his scintillating performance.

In Karate events, Haliya Suleiman claimed a bronze medal in plus 47kg girls category after losing to her opponent from Delta State.

Earlier, she defeated her opponent from Abia State in the quarter-final.

Meanwhile, in the minus 45kg, Amidat Adebayo was unlucky in the fight to semi-final losing to Ejoba Divine Success from Delta State.

Earlier she defeated Lawanson Victory from Oyo State in the quarter-final.

In Boxing event, Buhari Tajudeen also won his bout to proceed to the next round in a split decision over his opponent from Ogun State.

He will face his opponent from Ekiti State.

Meanwhile in Table Tennis events, Kwara Team couldn’t make to the quarter-final match as they were eliminated in round of 16 in both Cadet Mixed Doubles and Para Mixed Doubles.

Team Kwara is confident to add to their medals in Boxing, Table Tennis, Fives, Taekwando, Swimming and Track and Field events tomorrow Saturday.
