Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kwara State chapter have described the recent appointment of Prince Ladi Thompson, CEO, Henry George Hotels and Pillar of Sports in Kwara into the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Youth Football Committee as long overdue.
Prince Thompson was appointed by the Ibrahim Gusau led NFF into the committee of the youth football along side Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi as Chairman, Hon Silas Agara, Vice Chairman, Dele Ologun, Bala Usman, Sen Moses Cleopas and Victor Apago to rebrand youth football in the Country.
The Sports reporting body made this observation in a statement signed by Kwara SWAN Secretary, Dare Kuti.
“Prince Thomson’s appointment into the committee is well deserved, considering his vast experience and contributions towards football development in the country,” the statement read.
“As seasoned hotelier and hospitality industry stakeholders, Prince Thompson has used his immense contacts, resources and time to grow sports, not only at the grassroots level, but also at professional cadre as well,” Kuti added.
Commending the NFF national president on the appointment, SWAN stated that the body of Sports Writers in the state are ready to give the new member of NFF Youth Football Committee all the support needed.
