Aspiring Tennis player, Olayinka Azeez has explained that schools’ sports activities are an avenue to showcase raw talent among the students.
Olayinka, a 200-level student of the Department of Human Kinetics, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo state revealed this in a media chat.
The Ibadan-born tennis player explained that there are many raw talents which schools’ sports activities would expose to the limelight.
“Sports activities on campus are the best way to groom talented footballers, boxers, Tennis players and a lot, and we must also appreciate the Sports director’s efforts in putting things together”. She said,
Olayinka also appealed to Higher Institutions’ management to give room for more sports activities in a way to capture raw talents and groom them for the future.
While appealing to the government at all levels to always support schools’ sports activities, Olayinka added that Schools also need to start creating a team for each sport like Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball and others as they do channel their energy to the School’s football team.
Olayinka Azeez who is a member of the Tennis team at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State is a talented tennis player who always works hard on the tennis court to be better than before.
