Nigeria no 1 Teqball player, Victor Oyemade has said the skills and techniques in the game of Teqball charged him to develop his interest in the game.
Victor Oyemade made this assertion while speaking on radio sports program over the weekend.
Oyemade who won silver medal in men’s singles and men’s doubles at just concluded 2023, 2nd Africa Beach Games held in Hammamet, Tunisia, said that he is ready to retain no 1 in the country, 2nd in Africa and 31st in the world.
He said the skills and techniques he has as made the game easier for him, and as the people are too many in the game of football, he is ready to thrive in Teqball and make career in it.
Oyemade while sharing his experience in the men’s singles final where he lost to his opponents from Cameroon in Hammamet, said that the exposure and experience of the Cameroonian gave an edge over him.
He further stressed that, his opponents from Cameroon had been playing in international competitions, but said he can also challenge him if he could gets sponsors to participate in international competitions.
Oyemade charged football clubs in Nigeria to establish Teqball Club in other to aid its development, as clubs like Napoli, Barcelona, Lazio and other clubs in Europe already have Teqball Club.
He thanked, Chairman Teqball in Kwara State, Alh Yahyah Yaradua Jimoh, Chairman Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji for their unwavering supports to the game of Teqball in Kwara State.
