Osun born professional female boxer, Adijat Gbadamosi also known as “Dija” has explained her commitment in the boxing ring in her bid to stardom.
Dija revealed this during an online interactive session tagged “One on One with Ijobasports” where she explained her aims and objectives in boxing ring so far.
‘I have never for once relent, even when things are hard I still keep moving and pushing it, I’m not yet at the top but I have the belief that I will go far, to represent my father’s land has been my priority so far and I’m moving gradually without any regret”. She Disclosed.
The two times African youth champion added that support is what female boxers need from the government, sports stakeholders and sports lovers across Nigeria and in the world at large.
“Female boxer really need support from the government and others because people really focus on male boxers than us, even though it’s the same thing in other sports too, females hardly have support and by supporting us is the way to motivate us to do well’. Gbadamosi Said.
Gbadamosi who hails from Ede town in Osun State called on Nigeria government through the ministry of youths and sports development to show support for Nigeria female athletes particularly female boxers.
