Ukrainian topflight side FC Polissya Zhytomr have announced the signing of Flying Eagles and Giant Brillars FC goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso on a five year deal, according to several reports.
The goalkeeper who has been in an impressive form for the Flying Eagles at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina has been rewarded with a move to the Ukrainian side.
According to an official statement from the club, “Chijoke Aniagboso is the new player of FC Polissia!.
FC Polissia has signed a 5-year deal with Nigeria U-20 player Chijoke Aniagboso.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper is the bronze medalist of the 2023 U-20 African Nations Cup. The goalkeeper played all 6 matches in the tournament in the main team.
The player has the experience of calls to the national team of Nigeria. He is currently representing his country at the U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
Aniagboso will join the squad in preparation for the 2023/24 season.
Chijioke Aniagboso has a huge task of helping Nigeria go past host Argentina in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup when both teams will trade tackles on Wednesday.
