Okaa Sports FC began their quest in 2024 with an empathic win in their first opening friendly football match defeated Adifala United by 4-1 on Friday.
The encounter was played at Okaa Sports FC field, Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
The home side started where they left off last year scoring two first half goals in the early minutes of the match.
Abiodun scored a sublime goal collecting a neat pass from his team mate to place the ball at the back of the net.
Also in the first half another breathtaking goal was scored by the same Abiodun after he poked the ball into an empty nets to extend the lead.
Adifala United a club based in Ogbomoso came to attack close to the end of first half as they reduced the deficit as the first half ended in favour of the home side.
Okaa Sports continue where they left off in the first half by posing some threat to the defence line of the visitors.
They poised for goal and it came close to the hour mark with Habeeb scoring from a close range to make it 3-1.
Also going to the tale end of the match Habeeb scored his second of the day after rounding off the keeper to give his side a resounding victory over their visitors.
The chairman of the club, Alhaji Adelodun Abdullahi, praised the boys for showing energy, strength and confidence throughout the encounter, commended them for starting the new year with a victory.
Recall that the team’s camp will open on January 15th, 2024 for U15, U17 and senior boys.
