A renewed call has gone to the major critical football stakeholders in the state to genuinely rally round the state owned football club, Kwara United in this trying period, stating that the unwavering support must be sustained to ensure the team’s league status is maintained.
The Managing Director of Cyteck Engineering Limited and a diehard supporter of the Club, Engr Ahmed Olaide revealed this on Monday while speaking with journalists via phone against the shocking defeat of harmony boys in the match day 17 of the NPFL on Sunday.
Engr Olaide who expressed displeasure over the attitude and performance of some players in the current league season, despite huge support from the state government, noted alleged disunity between the management and technical crew is capable of jeopardizing the league status of the club.
” This is the time to bury our hatchets and work together towards revamping the club from total collapse, pointing accusing fingers on individuals at this trying time will only aggravate tension that will be difficult to curtail”
He appealed to spectators and other followers of Kwara United not to abandon the club at this crucial moment and continue praying for them to overcome all their challenges as the league progresses.
Kwara United will play Heartland of Owerri next Sunday in the match day 18 and the team is condemned to secure the three maximum points away from home
