Kwara United To Remain In Ikenne For NPFL Preparations – Kumbi

………Coaching Crew Say Tournament Outcome Useful

Kwara United Football Club will continue its preparation for the NPFL 2024/25 season in Ikenne, at the Remo Stars sports facility despite exit from the Valuejet Preseason tournament, according to Kumbi Titiloye, the club’s chairman.

This comes as the technical crew of the club led by Coach Kabir Suleiman Dogo stated that the campaign at the tournament produced useful outcomes for the team.

Explaining the rational behind the club’s decision to stay back in the Ogun State historical town, Mr Titiloye said that the facility and peaceful ambience of the location will help the players’ build up.

“We’re continuing our training in Ikenne, we want to maximize the facility to achieve our rebuilding process with absolute concentration said Titiloye.

Speaking further on the exit of the club from the tournament in the preliminaries of the competition in Ikenne, Titiloye allayed worries saying that the Valuejet Cup served its purpose of helping the technical crew assemble players with the right disposition for the team.

” NPFL is a marathon games and it is different from preseason, our training is based on marathon games

Adding his opinion, Coach Dogo emphasized that the competition provided useful lessons and helped the coaches asses the players.

“We can say that we have clear idea of the players we want to work with which is the purpose for which we came,” said Coach Dogo.
