KYL: Okaa Sports FA Lashes Abrayasports FA In A Thrilling Opener

Okaa Sports FA began her campaign with a nervy end victory in the ongoing Kwara Youth League defeated Abraysports FA 2-1.

The encounter was played at the KFA pitch, Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin on Saturday, Alh Adelodun’s side scoring two quick first half goals.

Okaa Sports FA started on a front foot lunching an attack with energy, posing pressure on at the early minute of the game.

Nurudeen Sodiq opened the scoring in the 14 minute with a nice finish to put Okaa Sports FA in charge and into the lead.

Akande Oluwatimilehin extended the lead with a sublime finish in the 16 minute to put the team more on the driving seats.

Abraysports FA showed their mettle before the end of the first half with purpose and confidence to reduce the deficit but Okaa Sports FA stayed firm at the back to defend their lead in the first half.

After the start of the second half, Abraysports FA showed more of their attacking intent searching for an equalizer.

Their hard work, resilience and determination in the goal area paid off as Abdulkareem Abdulfaruq reduced the deficit with close range finish after the hour mark.

Abraysports FA pushed more harder close to the end of the game searching to salvage a draw but Abdulkareem’s goal proved to only be a consolation as Okaa Sports boys remained resolute at the back to defend their lead and hold on to seal the victory.
