Italian Giant, Napoli removed Victor Osimhen from their Serie A squad list and also handed his squad number (nine) to new signing Romelu Lukaku.
The Nigeria was unable to secure a move away from the Serie A club on transfer deadline day despite strong efforts by Chelsea and Al-Ahli to secure his services.
Osimhen has two years remaining on his contract.
Saudi club Al-Ahli offered the striker a mouth-watering offer reportedly worth €40m per season.
The move fell through when Napoli asked for more on the transfer fee. Al-Ahli eventually decided to sign England international Ivan Toney from Brentford instead.
Chelsea on the other hand were unable to match his personal demands.
