Makamz FA have emerged the champions of 2024 Super Lions U-15 Football competition defeating Olulade FC 2-1.
The final match was played at Bishop Smith School Field on Friday afternoon.
The thrilling encounter began with grits, passion and tenacity as both sides showed their attacking intent in the early minutes of the first half.
But it was Makamz FA who scored the opener in the 23 minutes with Ajao Bilal scored from close range after Olulade FC goalkeeper failed to deal with the ball.
Olulade FC came out attacking to restore the parity but Makamz FA were too strong at the defence taming them.
In the 42 minutes, Jimoh Mubarak Awoli extended the lead for Makamz FA with a sublime goal.
Olulade FC scored in the second half to reduced the deficit and as they tried to searched for an equalizer to take the game into penalties but Makamz FA defence remain resolute at the back defending with their heart and soul to claim the coveted trophy.
Makamz FA Coach Oniye Mohammed Olatunji expressed his happiness for winning the trophy, praising his boys for playing to instructions and putting in the hard work, resilience and determination throughout the game.
He dedicated the trophy to Almighty Allah, fans, supporters and his players.
With claiming the trophy, Makamz FA have now won two trophy in space of a week after also emerged the champions of KINKON Global Sports LTD U-15 Championship last Saturday.
