NPFL: Kwara United to Host Matches in Ilorin Kumbi Titiloye Confirms

The Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, has reassured football stakeholders in the state disregarding the uncertainty surrounding the club’s home venue, affirming that Kwara United will continue to play at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin.

Responding to circulating rumor on social media suggesting that the state stadium and other clubs’ home grounds have been deemed unfit for NPFL matches, Titiloye emphasized the club’s commitment to the Kwara State Stadium.

I want to emphasize unequivocally that our home games will be held at the Kwara State Stadium. Our loyal supporters, fans, and football enthusiasts in Kwara should disregard any misinformation suggesting otherwise, he stated.

Also he mentioned that the club is currently awaiting the NPFL inspection team following necessary maintenance work carried out on the infrastructure. Kumbi also expressed optimism that the stadium will meet the NPFL standards.

The government already started renovations and necessary repairs to the facilities as mandated by the NPFL at the conclusion of the previous season, adhering to international standards, he affirmed.
