The duo of Marvelous Samuel Olaoluwa and Adebayo Destiny Victor of Okaa Sports FC were among the 25 Man contingent selected to represent Kwara United FC U-17 team at the NPFL U-17 Youth League in Lafia.
The latter Adebayo Destiny Victor who was born on June 4, 2007, can play anywhere in the heart of the midfield.
He’s the captain of Okaa Sports FC U-15 and was among the players that went for La Liga U-15 last year representing Kwara State.
Adebayo Destiny Victor is not new to such duty, he was part of the team last year and this was the second time he will be representing Kwara at the age grade national competitions.
Samuel Marvellous Olaoluwa who was also among the contingents selected for the competition is the captain of Okaa Sports FC U-17.
Like Adebayo Destiny, Marvellous is also an utility player and this is the second time he will be traveling in his early football career.
He captained and played excellently well for his side in a friendly against Neroya FC an amateur one side based in Ilemona, in Oyun Local Government in Kwara State.
His tenacity, resilience technicality and creative spark on the ball opened the door for him to be selected, Marvellous Olaoluwa Samuel was born on March 5, 2007.
The Chairman of Okaa Sports FC, Alh. Abdullahi Adelodun expressed his happiness over the selection of two players from his team, he said hard work, resilience, determination, prayer and commitment paved the way for the duo.
Alh. Abdullahi Adelodun charged the players to be a good ambassador of themselves and the club, wished the Kwara Team a success in the competition.
The team left the shore of the state on Wednesday, January 31st to Lafia, Nassarawa State Capital.
The Kwara United U-15 were pitted against their North Central Counterparts “Lobi Stars, Niger Tornadoes and Plateau United”.
