Team GRA Oyokun emerged as the champion of the Se-Kin Ma Tan-Yin Sagbadewe Football Tournament, Oyokun 2023, defeated Team Stadium/Gaa-Akanbi Oyokun team.
The match which was held at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin on Sunday saw both sides played thrilling football.
Team Stadium/Gaa-Akanbi played from the back with their usual style but find it hard to score as their opponents defence remained resolute at the back.
Team GRA with their array of stars also pressurized to put the ball at the back of the net as their chances came begging.
With their attacking style of play with pressing and pressing the goal finally arrived to take the lead as their striker poked in the ball into the nets.
Team Stadium/Gaa-Akanbi came out gone blazing to search for an equalizer but Team GRA defended with their heart and soul to emerge the winner of this year’s tournament.
According to the organizer of the tournament Odelana Peter popularly known as “Peteru Sports” said that trophy will be presented to the champions on Tuesday 2nd January, 2024.
However the two teams are now set to face Oyo state champions for the Oyokun Inter-State Championship in early next year.
