Kwara United Records Another Setback With Away Draw Against Bayelsa United

Kwara United Football Club secured a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League match day four encounter at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, on Sunday.

The Harmony Boys showcased an impressive performance, controlling the game from start to finish. Debutants Yahaya Ibrahim, Akanni Akeem, and Luis Dadong stood out, captivating the crowd with their soccer skills.

Luis Dadong scored in the 33rd minute, but the goal was controversially ruled offside by the referee, much to the dismay of the spectators. Shortly after, Junior Aimufa found the back of the net in the 47th minute after connecting with a cross from Yahaya Ibrahim, but once again, the goal was ruled offside.

Despite these setbacks, Kwara United maintained their dominance. In the 64th minute, Akanni Akeem, making his debut, scored from a well-executed corner kick by Shola AbdulRaheem.

However, Bayelsa United equalized in the 78th minute through substitute Yahaya Ibrahim, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.

Kwara United coach Tunde Sanni commended his players for their resilience and urged them to replicate their form against Remo Stars in their next fixture in Ilorin.

He also encouraged Kwara fans to remain patient and continue supporting the team.

Yellow cards were issued to Badmus Nurudeen (35′) and Saheed Olaniyi (55′). Substitutions included Ismail Gata replacing Ifeanyi Ogba, and Sodiq Yusuf coming on for Luis Dadong.
