The Chairman, Teqball Association Kwara State, Alhaji Yahayah Yaradua has described teqball as one of the sports that will put Kwara State on the World Map if it is giving necessary supports by the Kwara State government.
Yaradua made this known while featuring on a radio yoruba sports show over the weekend.
Alhaji Yahyah said, the passion he had for football and the love forever Kwara State triggers him to bring the game to the state in 2018.
He further explained that the game will be introduced to schools, communities for its development and growth at the grassroots as Kwara State as already written her name on the world map through it.
Alh Yahyah stressed that through his tenacity and perseverance by bringing the sport down to the state has made him to fulfill his ambition as the game is getting known to the people.
He thanked, the Kwara State Sports Commission under the leadership of Alh Bola Mogaji for his supports for finding and providing a place for their training at the stadium complex in other to aid the development of the game.
The Chairman charged the state government, private and corporate organisations to give necessary supports for the development of the game anytime the needs arises.
One of the callers, who phoned in to the program, charged the state government to establish Teqball Academy in the state to aid the development and to serve as revenue for the government.
Alh Yaradua, also advised parents and guardians to allow thier kids to participate in the game of Teqball and to develop their career in it.
It can be recall that Kwara Teqball Club swept all available medals in the five categories where they won 6 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze medal, at just concluded Teqball National Championship, tagged ” Delta Teqball Tour 2023″ in Asaba, Delta State.
The 10 States that participated participated in the competition are Kwara, Taraba, Niger, Enugu, Abia, Delta, Ogun, Oyo, Anambra and Edo State.
