Adeyemi FC Star, Ogunbode Timothy Dedicates MVP Award To Teammates

Adeyemi FC’s versatile winger, Ogunbode Timothy, has dedicated his Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the recently concluded Ibadan Football Council (IFC) league to his teammates.

Ogunbode, who started his season with Adeyemi Football Club of Ibadan with an outstanding performance, recorded 3 assists in his league debut. His impressive contributions have made him a favorite among sports enthusiasts.

The Oyo-born winger demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the league, showcasing his talent with remarkable performances.

He expressed his gratitude to teammates for their support, noting that the award’s significance would be incomplete without their efforts.

“This is incredible, and I’m at a loss for words. I must thank my fellow teammates; I couldn’t have achieved this alone. The team spirit we shared was crucial in winning the league, and I dedicate this MVP Award to them. I have the best teammates—they’re worth more than gold to me.”

Ogunbode, who hails from Igbeti, Oyo State, encouraged the team’s fans to anticipate even greater achievements, suggesting that they have yet to see the best from the team.

He also extended his gratitude to the club’s president, Mr. Abiodun Adeyemi, widely known as “Baba Abe.”

“Our club’s success would not be complete without the President’s efforts. I’m grateful to have Baba Abe as our president; his tremendous support has been pivotal. His leadership has greatly influenced my career as a footballer. Thank you for everything you do,” he said.

To honor Ogunbode’s efforts, an officially signed football was presented to him by the club’s president on behalf of Karim Adeyemi.

Ogunbode Timothy scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists in 19 matches.
