It was an historic moment for Namibia as they began their quest at the 34th edition of Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast with a victory over Tunisia, the win was their maiden in the history of the tournament.
The historic victory was achieved at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, in Korhogo on Tuesday.
Before the match against Carthage Eagles, they played nine matches without a victory and the team is the team with highest goals scored without a win in the tournament history.

Tunisia who were the better side showed some glimpse of scoring but Namibia goalkeeper was always called upon making several saves to keep his team in the game.
Tunisia were the favorite for this encounter kept pressing on for a lead but the Namibians remained resolute at the back.
And surprisingly a 88th minutes header from Orlando Pirates player Deon Hotto secured a shock victory for the Brave Warriors as their first tournament victory.
This victory over the Carthage Eagles will give them more confidence and believe in their second match when they face neighbors South Africa at the same venue on Sunday by 9pm.
