AFCON: Super Eagles To Face Arch Rivals “Cameroon” In Round Of 16

Nigeria Super Eagles will face her Africa arch rivals Cameroon in the round 16 at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The encounter will be held at Felix Houphouet Bogny stadium in Abidjan on Saturday by 9pm.

Jose Peseiro led side who were runners up in group B with 7 points have an uphill task to progress against the Indomitable lions.

Cameroon on the other hand also came second in their group after securing a qualifications after leaving it late to beat The Gambia by 3-2.

Recall the two old rivals met at this stage in 2019 edition in Egypt with Super Eagles coasting away with 3-2 victory over Indomitable lions courtesy goals from Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo.
