Lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, South and Orire Federal Constituency Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala (JP) said he was excited and extremely humbled to be elected as Chairman, Young Parliamentarian Forum (YPF) of the 10th National Assembly.
Hon. Alao-Akala made this statement on his X handle formerly known as twitter on Wednesday, 22nd November, 2023.
The Lawmaker described his new role as a huge responsibility, pledging to deliver on its core mandate and with unwavering commitment.
The newly Chairman of (YPF) said his primary goal is to amplify the voices of the youth, advocate for their rights and participation, and to ensure their concerns are prioritized within the National Assembly.
He noted that, he his firmly believe that the youth are the backbone of any nation, adding that it is a crucial to provide them with a platform to express their opinions, contribute to policy making and shape the future of Nigeria.
Hon. Akala also stressed that, he’s prepared to collaborate and partner with fellow Parliamentarian both young and experienced in other to achieve more, to foster an inclusive and participating environment.
He therefore, encouraged every young Nigerian to actively participate in the democratic process and engage with their representatives as their voices matter to build a brighter future of our nation.
Chairman YPF, however congratulated deputy Chairman Hon. Ibrahim Bello Muhammad together with other colleagues and fellow young Parliamentarian, assuring to work tirelessly and relentlessly to make a positive difference in Nigeria and on the global plane.
Hon. Alao-Akala further thanked the Senate President H.E Senator Godswill Akpabio, Speaker RT. Hon Tajudeen Abass and other honorable collegeaus of the entire assembly for reposing their trust in him on the National assignment.
