All is set for the commencement of the Saudi Cup weekend

The 2024 Edition of the annual International horse-racing event is about to reoccur at King Abdulaziz Race-course in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Cup is a two-day celebration of international racing, enhanced by an undercard of two Group 2 races, three Group 3 races for Thoroughbreds and two Group 1 contests for Purebred Arabians.

The fast growing Sporting event was established in the year 2020 by Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA), the event aims to create awareness of horse-racing in the country, encourage participation of men and women in all areas of the sport, as the event has since its Inception being impacting.

Japanese Panthalassa won the fourth edition of the tournament in 2023, the tournament is one of his Victories and recorded a lifetime achievement.

The Fifth edition is bidded for Friday February 23, and Saturday February 24, 2024 and it carries a prize of $37.6m making it richest racing festival in the world.

The full card of racing on the preceding Friday includes an International Jockeys Challenge which sees seven female and seven male jockeys compete as individuals.
