BASKETBALL: D’Tigress Outshines DR Congo in 2023 Afrobasket Championship Opener

The Nigeria Female Basketball Team D’Tigress open their campaign at Afrobasket Women Championship with a win over Dr Congo.

The defending champions beat their West African counterpart 69-35 on Friday in Kigali.

D’Tigress who have never lost against their opponent run riot in the first, second and fourth quarter.

It was not very smooth match but they got their first win at the 2023 Afrobasket championship.

D’Tigress under Rena Wakama needs to work on their turnovers, rebound better, and must take care of easy layups in their next match.

The defending champions will face Egypt on Sunday 30 July for their next group game.
