The Super Eagles of Nigeria has booked their place at the 2023 Total African Cup Of Nation.
Nottingham Forest F.C. Star Taiwo Awoniyi was in action for the Eagles at Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo for the last group match fixture against Sao Tome And Principe.

Taiwo Awoniyi who was nominated for EPL player of the Month award for the Month of September has scored three goals in four EPL matches.
The former Liverpool player has been described as a versatile and very talented player who has been playing well over the years.
“Awo” was in the line up against Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo stadium on Sunday.
He scored the 3rd goal of the match in the scintillating qualification match of the African Cup of Nations.
He recorded his first Super Eagles goal against Sudan on Saturday January 15th 2022 at the 2021 African Cup Of Nation group stage match in Cameroon.
Fans celebrated his gesture and sportsmanship.
While speaking with newsmen in Uyo, he described his performance in the 6-0 win against Sao Tome And Principe as a special grace from God.
He emphatically stated, that he’s not in the Nigeria senior team squad to compete with any teammate, but to play his part and make Nigerians proud.
