Friendly Game: Akeem Bello Caged R.F.O Football Academy With Alone Goal

It was an interesting moment at Awoo Stadium, university of Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday as Ibadan based football club Adeyemi Fc battle with R.F.O Football Academy in a friendly round leather game.

The game which kicked off exactly 3pm was witnessed by football lovers across Ibadan, and its environs for the duration of 90 mins.

The home team, R.F.O football academy took charge of the game with massive pressure before the away team later levelled up to balance the game with tactics and strategies in other not to fall into the opponent’s attack trap.

In 12 minutes of the game, Adeyemi Football Club scored, but the central referee ruled it out for offside, series of attempts from both teams continued in a bid to take charge of the game, R.F.O football academy’s defence really humble many opportunities of the away team to end the first half goalless.

Actions continued in the second half of the game with same energy and efforts, and in the 68 minutes of the game, Mahmood Akorede of Adeyemi Football Club was brought down in the box which the center referee signalled for a penalty kick, Akeem Bello stepped up and scored the penalty to sealed the victory for Adeyemi Football Club.

The head coach of Adeyemi Football Club, Coach Dare Kolawole also known as Coach Drey expressed his reactions about the game.

“I will like to commend the efforts of my players, they really performed excellently, and I must point out the referee errors which really affected our game, the center referee ruled out our first goal as he claimed offside, which is not, but we eventually overcome with a penalty kick, we look forward to securing another win in our next match”. He said.
