Kwara’s Handball team has qualified for the Girls final of the Handball event of the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba.
Kwara defeated the host, Delta by 37 to 34 points to brighten their chance of winning gold for the state in the event.
Reacting to the victory, Coach Emeka Nnamani said despite intimidation from the fans of the host, his girls were determined and triumphed over their antics .
Coach Nnamani explained that with the victory over Delta, Handball has gone back to Kwara state.
He expressed happiness and appreciation to Kwarans for their unwavering support since the commencement of the handball event, promising not to let them down and optimistic of clinching gold in the final.
