Ahead of the Lagos City Cup 2023 , Ikorodu City Football Club has announced a partnership with FC Barcelona and Atletic Sant Just FC of Spain to organize the tournament.
Ikorodu City FC made the information known on their twitter handle on Friday, 16 July, 2023.
Latest City Sports News gathered that, players will be scouted by the Spanish clubs during the tournament commencing next month.
It can be recall that two of Ikorodu City players moved to Spain on a short-term deal a few months ago.
The Club Administrator Adepoju Tobi Samuel who is also a renowned sports journalist while commenting on the tournament, said that, they want to build a strong relationship with the Spanish clubs.
The Club further stressed that 16 clubs across the country will participate and will showcase their talents to the Spanish scouts.
Noted that it is a huge opportunity for players who will be participating at the tournament to get scouted from their clubs.
The Lagos City Cup 2023 will hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, between 1st to 4th July, 2023.
