Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kwara State Chapter has commiserated with Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar (Kwara North) on the death of his father, Alhaji Suleiman Mora Omar.
Alhaji Suleiman Omar, one-time Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board and a top bureaucrat, died at the age of 86 years on Tuesday night.
In a statement signed by Ayodeji Ismail; Chairman of Kwara SWAN expressed his condolences to the Senator Sadiq and the entire Omar family while he thanked Allah that the deceased lived a good and fulfilled life worthy of emulation.
”On behalf on the entire members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter, I write to convey my heartfelt condolences to Senator Sadiq Umar and the good people of the Kwara North over the demise of his father.
”The demise of our Alhaji Suleiman Omar is no doubt a great loss to the entire family and of course the state as a whole. The joy we have is that Late Omar lived a fulfilled and impactful life and the benefiaries of extension of his love would forever remain grateful to the Patriarchy.
“No doubt the death of a loved one is usually a painful episode in our lives because it is irreparable but we must always take solace in Allah for a good life spent by the late Alhaji Suleiman Omar during his lifetime”.
