Sports writers under the aigis of Sports Writers Association, SWAN, Kwara State Chapter, have commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the reappointments of Mr. Tajudeen Kayode Aremu, Mr. Yomi Clement Adeboye and appointment of AbdulRazaq Ayobami Akanbi as the General Managers of the Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Kwara, the Herald newspapers and Kwara Television, respectively.
The sports journalists stated that the appointments did not come as a surprise given that the trio, in their previous stints as helmsmen in the media organisations, demonstrated sterling qualities in administration.
They are like gold fishes in the areas of executive capacity, the sports writers body said in a news release jointly signed by Ayodeji Ismail, chairman and Secretary, Dare Kuti of Kwara SWAN.
“SWAN is particularly over joyed at the reappointment of Mr Aremu as the GM, Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, given his steady support for sports reporting, service to grassroots and professional soccer development in the state.
“He has been a consistent mentor, father figure and patron of sports reporting confraternity not only in the state, but also the country at large.
“We are elated, overjoyed and ecstatically looking forward to resuming our working relationship with the reappointed Radio Kwara GM.
While not oblivious of the other appointments of Mr Adeboye and Ayobami Akanbi the sports writers body stated that the governor in the latest reappointments demonstrated once again that he has his ears to the ground and in tune with yearnings of the average Kwaran in the choice of CEOs to head critical ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs, in the state.
