Manchester United placed on a hefty price tag of £140m to secure the services of Nigeria striker Osimhen

Manchester United have reportedly been placed on a hefty price tag of £140m to secure the services of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen this summer, a UK tabloid, The Mirror stated this. United have already reached an agreement to sign Osimhen’s Napoli teammate, Kim Min-jae.

Osimhen has emerged as a top priority for the Red Devils, thanks to his outstanding performances for the Serie A champions this season, making him a leading candidate for their striking position.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United scouts were present at Napoli’s Champions League match against Milan last month and have identified Osimhen as the ideal player to bolster their attacking lineup in the upcoming season.

The Nigerian striker is currently enjoying a remarkable phase in his career, leading the goal-scoring charts in the Italian Serie A with 23 goals, three more than Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, who holds the second spot with 20 goals.

While Osimhen still has three years remaining on his contract with Napoli, his impressive campaign has attracted interest from several European clubs vying for his signature during the summer transfer window. Manchester United stands as one of the favorites to secure the talented striker’s services.
