NPFL24 MD 14: Fans Took Umbrage At Kwara United Over An Armless Draw Against Tornadoes In Ilorin

Fans at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin showed their grievances by booed the home side Kwara United for their lackluster performance against Niger Tornadoes in the match day 14 of the NPFL played on Sunday.

The fans who could not hold there pressure and patience turned against their team towards the tail end of the second half of the match.

Kwara United have failed to win and registered a goal in their last two matches.

The team in the match against Ikon Allah’s Boys lack creativity, athleticism, pace, power and energy.

Despite the fact that they have played 14 league matches, the team lack cohesion, coordination and togetherness missing Mohammed Alao who was out injured.

Though in the match Harmony boys had a few chances to score but Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper making some beautiful saves, a clean one from a header from substitute Ifeanyi Odimmenga.

The away side celebrated the draw with been their first away point of the current campaign.

With Kwara United having another home match on Thursday against Plateau United who dismantle Bayelsa United by 5-1 is a wake-up call for Kabiru Dogo and his boys as the fans are gradually losing confidence, and believe in the team.

Abdulwaheed Abdulrasak a fan of Kwara United while speaking with journalists after the match expressed his sadness over the team poor performance against Niger Tornadoes.

He put a blame on the players for the bad performance, adding that the coach can’t be on the field to play for them.

He also noted that, the team is missing Mohammed Alao creativity in the middle of the park as the team lack of goals continue.

Abdulrasak however urged the players to put more efforts and better performance in their subsequent matches starting from Plateau United on Thursday.

Kwara United gaffer Kabiru Dogo in a post match interview with the journalists said it was a painful one for the team as they played badly against their noisy neighbors.

Kwara United are currently 15th on the log after 14 matches drawing four matches at home.
