A Board Member of the Nigeria Women Football Football League NWFL, Hajia Segilola Alaya has hailed the impressive outings of the Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the on going FIFA Women’s World Cup, despite being Knocked out by the lioness of England in the round of 16 of the competition on Monday .
Super Falcons showed resilience and determination against England after Playing One hundred and twenty minutes of action packed soccer and lost via penalties.
Hajia Alaya in a statement on Monday Commended players and officials of falcons for demonstrating the spirit of total commitment to their fatherland, noting that there names are already written in gold.
“I want to Congratulate Our dear Falcons for Showing the world the stuff we made up in Africa, we are not a push over in the world of football, the game of soccer at times, you win some and lose some, we are not disgraced or humiliated, Kudos to our girls.”
She encouraged NFF Leadership and President Ahmad Bola Tinubu to give the girls a rousing welcome to appreciate their efforts at the women’s global football fiesta.
