Okaa Sports FC Remain Strong – Alh. Abdullahi Adelodun

Chairman Okaa Sports Football Club, Alh. Abdullahi Adelodun has said his team still remain solidly strong after their ouster at the ongoing Emir of Ilorin Cup 2023.

Okaa Sports FC was eliminated in the semi-final of the tournament by Musty FC by 4-2 on Tuesday.

The match which was played at the Kwara Football Academy pitch saw his teams lost to their opponents due to lack of concentration from the players.

The opponent capitalized on the defensive error between the two center defence which gave them an advantage to score 3 first half goals before half hour mark.

Okaa Sports saw advantage to reduce the deficit while the score line was still at 2-0 as they were awarded a penalty after their best player of the day was hacked down in the 18 yard box but Musty FC goalkeeper was equalled to it as he catched the poor spot kick.

Okaa Sports kept on pressing and attacking as they search for goal to give them lifeline into the match and the goal later came after nice layoff from the wing for their forward to tap in to make it 3-1.

After the restart of the second half, the club fought to stop Musty FC not to add another goal, unfortunately, Musty FC striker nodded into an empty nets to completed his hat-trick to make it 4-1.

Fans of Okaa Sports were already leaving the stadium after the insurmountable score line margin but Okaa Sports FC reduced the deficit towards the end of the encounter to put the atmosphere under control as the match ended 4-2 in favour of Musty FC.

Okaa Sports will be looking for consolation prize in third place playoff as they awaits the losing side between Police Machine and Adezzy FC as Musty FC awaits the winner for the final match that is bidded for Saturday 11th, November at Kwara State Stadium Pitch.
