Okaa Sports FC players have pledged to bounce back from the defeat suffered against Gaa-Akanbi FC when they play Oke-Ose FA on Thursday.
Alhaji Abdullahi Adelodun side lost 3-1 to Gaa-Akanbi FC in their opening match at the 3rd Edition of the Jafak Cup 2024.
The players while showing their disappointment after the match, expressed their feelings over the defeat.
One of the players of the club said, he didn’t believe Okaa Sports FC could lose against Gaa-Akanbi FC despite the intensive training the team had since beginning of the year before the competition.
Another player who expressed his unpleasure said, the loss should help them strategize, adding that they must show the zeal ahead of the next match.
They encouraged themselves to forget the lose and concentrate on the next match against Oke-Ose FA.
The Chairman of the club, Alhaji Abdullahi Adelodun charged the players to be challenged and buckle up for the next matches in the competition.
Recall the team played 39 unbeaten matches in 2023 before losing in the semifinals of the Emir’s Cup 2023.
Okaa Sports FC were drawn alongside Skillz FC, Corporate Ballers, Gaa-Akanbi FC and Oke-Ose FA in Group D of the competition which kicked off on Monday 19th February, 2024.
