The OLAAJ Open Table Tennis Championship, a highly anticipated and prestigious event, recently concluded in the city of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
The championship held in the heart of the city, showcased extraordinary talent with 92 entries for the Men’s Singles category and 28 entries for the Women’s Singles category.
Participants from 9 clubs and 12 states across Nigeria, making it a truly national event.
In the Men’s Singles category, Kuti Matthew from Lagos State claimed the title. Matthew secured the coveted victory by defeating Abdul Basit Abdulfatai from Kwara State with a scoreline of 4 – 1 in a thrilling finals match.
The Women’s Singles category saw Ayoola Khabirat from Aruna Club Oyo become the Champion, Khabirat exhibited exceptional skill and determination over Bose Akinsete from Lagos State with a commanding score of 4 – 0 in the finals.
