Oscar FA Unveils New Set Of Jersey, Strikes Partnership Deal With South African Logistics Company

Oscar Football Academy of Ilorin, took another bold step closer in progressions unveiled four brand new sets of jersey.

The unveiling ceremony for the set of jerseys was held at the team base in Ilorin, Kwara State capital on Friday July 26, 2024.

The players of the team posed for the camera during the unveiling as football lovers, and the supporters of the academy in the metropolis witnessed the beautiful event.

Speaking with the journalist during the unveiling, Head Coach of Oscar Football Academy, Coach Adeyemo Oladimeji Samuel popularly known as Coach Oscar expressed joy over the unveiling, he applauded those who supported from outside the country.

He said “It’s God that made it possible, anything that someone is doing should be positive and put more effort into it, it will pave way one day”

Coach Oscar stressed that, the team are already making an effort proposing for a spacious main football pitch, which will make it more conducive atmospheric condition for training and matches, that funds are needed to execute the project.

“We are working assiduously to have our football pitch and we are already on the proposed site, it will be revealed soon when it’s done” He said.

Adeyemo who just completed his CAF Coaching Licence, highlighted that, the academy has both the junior and senior team and the door is open for talented players who wish to join the academy but the player must possess an act of discipline, saying that discipline is the watchword of the academy.

“Now we have only feeders and a senior team, we are more concentrated on that for now, the younger ones will have are the feeders”

He further highlighted that, most of the players were selected from the communities in order to harness their talents to the outer world. He affirmed that most of these players have gone for trials across the country.

“Most of the players were scouted from communities, because few of those players don’t know they are talented because they don’t have someone to harness their talents”

Oscar Football Academy has gone beyond, as they are having a partnership with Drey and Para Logistics based in South Africa, Golden Bubbles Photo in Ilorin, Telecommunications and Road Engineering Company also in Ilorin and also a partnership with a company from Europe, appreciating them for their partnership with the Oscar FA.

Oscar Football Academy, who have been punching above their weight emerged champions of Kwara Made Us Football Championship earlier this year.

Earlier, assistant coach of the academy, Owoyemi Ayorinde expressed his delight over the unveiling, thanking God for the success despite the academy hasn’t clocked a year.

Expressing his ambition for the players and academy is to strike a contract with bigger clubs in Europe, Asia and over the world.

Also speaking, the captain of the academy Olabode Ibrahim Abiodun shared his joy over the unveiling, appealing to football lovers to show more of their support in cash and kind for the academy.

Coach Adeyemo Oladimeji Samuel, however thanked Kwara State Sports Commission under the leadership of Coach Bola Mogaji and Director of Sports Mallam Ibrahim Bako for tremendous support.

He also hailed Nigeria Coaches Football Association (NCFA) Kwara State chapter for the tremendous advice and unwavering supports shown to him and the team.

Oscar Football Academy has their training based at Kwara State School of Handicap along Old Jebba Road in Ilorin, Kwara State .
